Saturday Evening 19h00. It’s time to dust off your cowboy boots and Stetson hat, and let’s do it Country and Western style! We hope that there will be an expert to teach us some “line-dancing”!
Saturday 29 August 2009: OUT OF AFRICA.
Saturday morning 10:30: Our Potjiekos-competition starts.
Design and cook a scrumptious potjie for yourself and your mates! Judging takes place at 16:00. Your theme is “Out of Africa” and the judges will not only taste you potjie, but also judge the originality of your outdoor “kitchen”! The entire meal (right from the start) must be prepared on SunEden during the time of the competition.
Saturday midday 12:00: Cut-off time for SunEden’s Photo Competition. SunEden’s Photo Competition 2009 is held to publish a calendar for 2010, of the best 12 photo’s entered by “SunEdeners”. The competition is only for amateur photographers. Professional photographers may not enter the competition, but may display their photo’s. The theme of the competition is “Out of Africa”. Photo’s taken at any place in Africa qualify for the competition. There are different categories in which you may enter your photographs. Get an application form for entering the competition at SunEden’s Reception desk or ask us to fax or e-mail you one.
Saturday evening 19:00: Disco in the Boma. Your dress must suit the theme, and preferably be created from natural materials (grass, bark, dust, etc.) gathered at SunEden. Tip: the decorations used for your “outdoor-kitchen”?
Saturday 26 September 2009: Beerfest.
BEER FEST: Fancy dress party the whole day
All day long: We will honor the German culture, as understood by us South Africans, all day long.
No matter if we mix it up with maybe some Austrian ideas! Bratwurst mit Sauerkraut und Kartoffeln as well as (probably) Eisbein will be for sale – or come and cook your own.
Saturday evening 19:00: Disco in the German fashion in the boma! Tonight we also celebrate SunEden’s 14th Birthday!
Saturday 31 October 2009: Halloween Party.
HALLOWEEN – OF COURSE! (Fancy Dress Disco)
Saturday afternoon 15:00: “Trick or Treat” for the young ones around the swimming pool. Bring along enough sweets, OR ELSE!
Saturday evening 19:00: If creepy and scary is your thing, come and take it out on us! All types of witches, ghosts, villains, and other types of monsters may join the festivities! There will be prizes for the most original costumes (SunEden style!)If creepy and scary is your thing, come and take it out on us! We’ll have prizes for the best effort and costumes.
Saturday 28 November 2009: Birdwatching Weekend.
Saturday and Sunday: Bird watching competition. (Time will be announced later)
We will make up teams who will compete at recording the greatest variety of birds (flying creatures with wings!) observed at SunEden. We will also offer a mini bird watching course for children (of all ages!). So, if you are a newcomer to the bird-watching hobby, now is the time to bring your (or somebody else’s) bino’s and join in the fun.

Saturday 19 December 2009: Christmas Lunch and Children’s Christmas Tree.
Saturday lunch 12:00 for 12:30: Christmas lunch presented by SunEden Restaurant. Menu and price to be announced later.
Saturday afternoon 16:30: Christmas Tree for the Children. Please bring presents for your Children – not too expensive, please!
Saturday evening 19:30: Foam Party! With this one we will really surprise you!

Thursday evening 19:30: Stargate Disco in the Boma with Corrie’s Disco! Look in “Google search”: Stargate Atlantis Images for ideas for dressing up (SunEden-style!). Prizes for the most original costumes. Join us and welcome the New Year at SunEden!
